Clouds in My Head

A camera shop had their filters on sale, so I picked up a couple to fit on my Samurai half-frame. I haven't used them with it though. I've been getting some interesting, (at least to me,) results holding the red(25A) in front of my Diana lens. I also got an 80A filter which I haven't used. I'm tempted to get a third Holga; one with a tripod socket and bulb mode. That with the 80A filter might be fun, if I could think of something to shoot.

My flu is almost gone. At least the worst is over. I'm mostly just tired. But I'm usually tired, so that's no big deal.

blech......

I have the flu. I feel gross. But the homemade ginger tea helped quite a bit. (A good size hunk of ginger grated up, three or four cups of water, squeeze half a lemon, a few cloves, four tablespoons of honey, brought to a boil and simmered for 15 minutes and strained. Yah, that's the shit.)

The flu helped me finish reading Gilligan's Wake last night. Usually when I get near the end of a book I'm quick to finish it. Not this one though; it seemed to drag. I never knew that the Professor was a bisexual predator, or that Mary-Ann's virginity would be restored no matter how often she had sex. The things you learn from reading books.

After I get some food in me, I might try to go out. There's a new Oakley Hall album I want to get, and being around the house for a second day in a row will drive me buggy. I should get some Cold-FX too.

The Vandigicam photowalk last Saturday was a lot of fun. Granville Street was closed to traffic and we wandered around taking photos of the people on the street, including these nice ladies. I shot off three rolls in total. The set can be seen here. I'll finish uploading them sometime tomorrow.
